Krishnan Jayaraman

Krishnan Jayaraman received his Ph.D. degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He serves currently as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Mechanical Engineering and as a Researcher at the Centre for Advanced Composite Materials at the University of Auckland. Before coming to New Zealand, he worked at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and the University of Toronto as a Research Fellow. His research interests are in the fields of natural fiber-reinforced composite materials, the relationship between microstructure and material properties in fibre-reinforced composites, and functionally gradient materials.
