Murat Gokden is a Professor of Pathology and a Director of Neuropathology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), Little Rock, AR, USA. He received his D.M. degree from School of Medicine, Dokuz Eylül University, Izmir, Turkey. He is a Board-Certified Anatomical Pathologist with additional board certifications in neuropathology and cytopathology. He completed his residency in pathology and fellowship in neuropathology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Washington University, St. Louis, MO, USA. He also completed fellowship training in surgical pathology at the MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, USA, and fellowship training in cytopathology at UAMS. His main interest is in oncologic pathology and diagnostic techniques in pathology, with a special interest in brain tumors. He serves on the Disease Oriented Committee for Neurooncology Research in the Rockefeller Cancer Institute at UAMS. He is an Active Member of the International Society of Neuropathology, USA, Canadian Academy of Pathology, Canada, American Association of Neuropathologists, USA, American Society of Cytopathology, USA, Turkish Neuropathology Group, Turkey, and Turkish Pathology Society, Turkey.
