Peter Lindgren graduated from the Royal Institute of Technology with an M.S. degree in computer science and engineering in 2000, and defended his thesis in epidemiology titled "Modeling the Economics of Prevention" at Karolinska Institutet in 2005. He is currently a Director for Health Economics and Outcomes and a Senior Fellow at i3 Innovus in Stockholm and an Affiliated Researcher at the Division of Cardiovascular Epidemiology at the Institute of Environmental Medicine, Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm. Dr. Lindgren served as the Managing Director of European Health Economics between 2004 and 2007, and has contributed to and led a wide range of health economic research projects in cardiovascular disease, diabetes, oncology, rheumatoid arthritis, and CNS. His research interests include economic evaluations based on modeling studies, trial-based analyses as well as studies on cost-of-illness, quality-of-life, treatment praxis, and epidemiology.
