Cris S. Constantinescu

Cris S. Constantinescu graduated from Boston University School of Medicine, Mass, USA, and completed residency training in neurology and fellowship in neuroimmunology at the University of Pennsylvania, from which he also received a Ph.D. degree in immunology. He held posts in neuroimmunology research at the University of Pennsylvania, University of Basel, University of Leicester, and University of Nottingham, and he has been a faculty member and a consultant neurologist at Nottingham since 2000. In 2004, he became a Professor and the Chair of Neurology in Nottingham. His research focuses on multiple sclerosis immunology, in particular in the role of cytokines in the pathogenesis of this disease; clinical trials, in which an important outcome measure is based on neuroimaging; and imaging relevant to MS.
