Avadhut D. Joshi
Avadhut D. Joshi serves as a Faculty Research Associate at the Department of Neurosurgery, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Baltimore, Md, USA. Joshi's research expertise includes developing small molecule and antibody-based therapies for treating brain tumors mainly glioblastoma (GBM). Currently, Joshi is working on developing targeted therapies for brain tumor that will specifically target the most common genetic and genomic abnormalities found in GBMs. Joshi received a Ph.D. degree from the Department of Genetics, Cell Biology and Anatomy, University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, Neb, USA. Joshi studied functional genomics of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (hematology/oncology area). Joshi's expertise also includes developing dendritic cell-based immunotherapies for treating breast cancer, neuroblastoma, and glioblastoma. Joshi has an undergraduate degree in pharmacy/pharmaceutical sciences.
