Liusheng Zha received his B.A. degree in polymer reaction engineering from Hefei University of Technology in 1985 and M.A. degree of analytical chemistry from University of Science and Technology of China in 1990. In 2002, he acquired his Ph.D. degree in polymer chemistry and physics from Fudan University. In 2011, he did research as a Visiting Scholar in Clemson University and serves now as a Full Professor of Donghua University (DU). He acts as a Researcher of State Key Laboratory for Modification of Chemical Fibers and Polymer Materials and as the Director of Research Center of Analysis and Measurement in DU. His research interest focuses on the intelligent nanogels used in drug delivery and medical diagnosis. Prior to joining DU, he serves as a Professor of Anhui University and once acted as the Vice Director of Polymer Materials Institute and as the Director of Modern Experiment Technology Center. During this period, he pursued his research on synthesis and application of water-borne polyurethanes. He authored over 100 papers that appeared in several academic publications. His major contributions are on the synthesis of temperature responsive and pH/temperature dually responsive nanogels or hollow nanogels, and their application in drug delivery and medical diagnosis.
