Gilles Dessein

Gilles Dessein is a Professor at Ecole Nationale d'Ingénieur de Tarbes, University of Toulouse, Toulouse, France. He is Member of Laboratoire Génie de Production (EA1905) and manages machining research activities in the laboratory. He received the Ph.D. degree from University of Toulouse (1997) and an accreditation to supervise research (HDR) from Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse (2008). His expertise domain concerns high performance machining, and he has worked on dynamics in milling, hard materials machining, surface integrity, and behavior of machine tools in the context of many European projects. His main expertise is in the analysis, monitoring, modeling, and control of machining processes.
