Janise McNair holds the B.S. degree and the
M.S. degree in electrical engineering from
the University of Texas at Austin (1991 and
1993, resp.), and the Ph.D. degree in electrical
and computer engineering from the
Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta,
Georgia, USA (2000). She is currently an
Assistant Professor in the Department of
Electrical and Computer Engineering at the
University of Florida. She is a Member of
the IEEE and the ACM, and she serves on the Editorial Board of
the Ad Hoc Networks Journal and the IEEE Transactions on Mobile
Computing. Her current research interests are vertical handoff management, mobile user security and authentication, and
medium access techniques for wireless sensor networks.
