Suhail Ahmad holds a Ph.D. degree, and he currently works as a Professor at the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Medicine, Kuwait University, Kuwait. His research is mainly focused on the diagnosis, epidemiology, and pathogenesis of susceptible and drug-resistant mycobacterial and mycotic infections. Some of his most recent publications are: ?Value of (1-3)-beta-D-glucan, Candida mannan and Candida DNA in the diagnosis of candidaemia? (2011) and ?Performance comparison of four methods for detecting multidrug-resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains? (2011).
