Kevin M. Beaver
Kevin M. Beaver serves as an Associate Professor at the College of Criminology and Criminal Justice, The Florida State University, Tallahassee, Fla, USA. He earned his B.A. degree in criminology from Ohio University, Athens, Ohio, USA, and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in criminal justice from the University of Cincinnati. His dissertation was supported by the National Institute of Justice’s Graduate Research Fellowship. In 2009, Beaver was awarded the American Society of Criminology’s Ruth Shonle Cavan Young Scholar Award. His research examines the ways in which the environment intersects with genetic factors in the development of serious violent behaviors. Beaver authored more than 150 pieces of scholarship.
