Tadaaki Moritomo

Tadaaki Moritomo was born in Fukuoka, Japan, in 1960. He received the M.A. and the Ph.D. degrees from the Graduate school of Veterinary Medicine, Nihon University, Kanagawa, Japan, in 1986 and 1990, respectively. Since 1984, he has been working at the Laboratory of Fish Pathology of Nihon University. From 1991 to 2005, he served as an Assistant Professor at Nihon University. Presently, he serves as an Associate Professor. He is mainly interested in comparative immunology and hematology, hematopoietic stem cells and their niches in lower vertebrates, mechanism for blood development in lower vertebrate, T cell development and function in teleosts, and function of teleosts granulocytes. He is a Member of International Society of Developmental and Comparative Immunology.
