Adriana Delfraro

Adriana Delfraro obtained the B.S. degree in biological sciences and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in microbiology. Delfraro completed her postdoctoral studies at the Molecular Virology Laboratory, Instituto Carlos Chagas, Fiocruz, PR, Brazil. She serves as an Associate Professor at the Virology Section, Sciences Faculty, Republic University. In Spain, she is a Member of the PEDECIBA postgraduate program (http://www.pedeciba.edu.uy), the National System of Researchers (SNI), and the National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII) (http://www.sni.org.uy). Delfraro’s main interests include emerging viruses, specially arbovirus and rodent-borne viruses, respiratory viruses, molecular biology of virus, evolution, phylogeny, diagnostics, and epidemiology.
