Sven Eckert

Sven Eckert studied physics from 1985 to 1990 at the Technical University Dresden, Germany. He received his Ph.D. degree from the Technical University Dresden in 1997. From 1996 to 2011, he was a Researcher at FZD and works now at the Department of Magnetohydrodynamics. His research areas include magnetohydrodynamics (MHD), measuring techniques for liquid metal flows and liquid metal two-phase flows, casting and solidification of metals and alloys, electromagnetic flow control in metallurgy, and MHD turbulence.
