Miguel de la Guardia

Miguel de la Guardia serves as a Full Professor of analytical chemistry at Valencia University (Spain), where he has followed all his studies in Valencia, earning the Ph.D. degree in analytical chemistry in 1979 from the Faculty of Chemistry. He obtained his position as a Chair in 1991. He won the Prize of the RSEQ 2008 in Química Analíticaand Chevalier dans l´ordre des Palmes Académiques, named by the Gobern cabinet of France in 2008. Has supervised 29 Ph.D. theses in the field of analytical chemistry of students coming from Spain, Morocco, Iraq, Algeria, Brazil, and Egypt. He has published 461 papers in SCI journals, additional 60 papers not included in the SCI, 2 books, and 8 book chapters. He is a member of the editorial boards of several journals. He serves as an Invited Speaker at numerous Spanish universities and also in France, Germany, Italy, Brazil, Venezuela, Morocco, Turkey, China, Norway, UK, USA, Colombia, Egypt, Uruguay, Argentina, Switzerland, Estonia, and Belgium. He acts as a Consultant for research project evaluation of National Agencies of Spain, Portugal, Italy, Argentina and China. He serves as a Referee of scientific papers submitted to more than 20 journals.
