He receveid the "cum Laude" Laurea degree in electronic engineering from the University of Rome "La Sapienza" in 1983. From 1983 to 1986, he worked as an Antenna Designer at Selenia Spazio S.p.A (now Alenia Spazio S.p.A), Rome, Italy, where he was involved in studies on theoretical and pratical aspects of antennas for space applications and scattering problems. Since 1986, he has been a Researcher at the Dept. of Electronic Engineering of the University of Rome "La Sapienza", where he is currently a Full Professor. His research interests include electromagnetic field theory, asymptotic techniques, electromagnetic compatibility, wireless communications, microwave and millimeter wave integrated circuits, and antennas.
