Lahcen Nabzar is Project Leader/Expert in flow in porous media. Nabzar joined IFPEN as a research engineer in the reservoir engineering direction, Petrophysics Department. He is the project leader of several IFPEN's research projects addressing the issues of well productivity and injectivity improvement. Currently he is leading a JIP (PROWIDE) on produced water reinjection (PWRI) dedicated to PWRI-induced injectivity decline. Nabzar authored and coauthored more than 50 papers. He served as Cochair of the ?Waterflood Optimisation? session in the IBP-SPE II international Seminar on ?Oilfield Water Management?, 16_19 October, 2007, Rio, Brazil, Discussion Leader of the ?From Conventional Water Injection to EOR? session in the SPE Forum Series "Revisiting Water Injection for the 21st Century", 31 August_5 September 2008, Cascais, Portugal, and Discussion Leader at the SPE ATW workshop "Integrated Water Management: Managing our Water Footprint Effectively", 11_14 July, 2010, Langkawi, Kedah, Malaysia. Nabzar holds M.S. degree in chemical engineering from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Industries Chimiques, Nancy, France and a Ph.D. degree in polymer physics from the University of Strasbourg, Strasbourg, France. He conducted his Ph.D. degree research on polymer-colloid interactions and their effect on the stability of colloidal dispersions.
