Xueji Zhang is the Sr. Vice President and Chief Scientist at World Precision Instruments, Inc., and a Courtesy Professor at the University of South Florida. He also serves as an Associate Editor of Frontiers in Bioscience, American Journal of Biomedical Sciences, and Archives of Medical Science, respectively. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from Wuhan University in 1994 and EMBA degree from MIT in 2006. He was a Postdoc Fellow at the National Institute of Chemistry, Slovenia, ETH, Zurich and New Mexico State University from 1995 to 1999. He has authored over 100 papers, 1 book and 12 patents. His lab has developed numerous sensors and instrumentations for commercialization. He has presented over 50 plenary and invited lectures in international conferences spanning over 20 countries. His lab is currently funded by NIH, European Space Agency, NASA, and a variety of other foundations and companies grants. .
