Bernd F. M. Romeike

Bernd F. M. Romeike was born in Gifhorn, Germany. He received his M.D. degree (magna cum laude) from the Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe University, Frankfurt, Germany, in 1994. After working from 1994 till 1996 as a Resident at the Department of Neurosurgery of the Dr.-Horst-Schmidt-Kliniken, Wiesbaden, Germany, he received his specialty training in neuropathology at the Institute of Neuropathology at the Saarland University in Homburg, Germany. Since 2007, he is Senior Physician at the Friedrich-Schiller University, Jena, Germany. In 2009, habilitation for neuropathology. His research is focused on brain tumors, sepsis, and malformations of the nervous system.
