Jein-Shan Chen
0000-0002-4596-9419Jein-Shan Chen is currently a Distinguished Professor at the Mathematics Department of National Taiwan Normal University, Taipei, Taiwan, from where he received his B.S. degree and M.S. degree in 1990 and 1993, respectively. In the fall of 1997, he attended at the Mathematics Department of UCLA to pursue his Ph.D. degree. He only stayed one year over there and moved to the Mathematics Department, University of Washington, USA, in the fall of 1998, where he spent six years to study optimization with Professor Paul Tseng. His research area is mainly in continuous optimization with side interests in nonsmooth analysis and operations research.
