Alessia Le Donne
Alessia Le Donne was born in 1975. In 2001 she got a M.S. degree in Materials Science from the University of Milano-Bicocca and in 2004 she obtained a Ph.D. in Materials Science from the same Institution. Since 2005 she had six postdoctoral positions. From a general point of view, her research activity was devoted to the study of the effect of defects (impurities, point and extended defects) on the structural, electrical and optical properties of semiconductors (Silicon, Silicon Carbide), minerals and gems (Cyclosilicate, Corundum). In the last years her activity has been mainly focused on the study of photovoltaic materials and devices (first and second generation solar cells). She has co-authored 39 peer-reviewed papers, 1 book chapter and more than 60 contributions at national or international scientific conferences. Since 2001 she has been involved in several European and national Projects. She is peer-reviewer for international scientific journals (Progress in Photovoltaics: Research and Applications, Solar Energy Materials and Solar Cells, Applied Surface Science, The Journal of Physical Chemistry, Materials Science and Engineering B, Photonics Technology Letters, Physica Status Solidi (c)) and for projects financed by the National Foundation for Science, Higher Education and Technological Development of the Republic of Croatia (NZZ). She recently joined the editorial board of Conference Papers in Energy, Reviews in Advanced Sciences and Engineering and Materials Focus.
