Željko Jakšić

Senior research scientist at the Ruder Boškovic Institute Center for Marine Research, Rovinj, Croatia. He received the PhD degree in biotechnology at the University of Zagreb, Croatia in 2002. His principal research interests are molecular toxicology and defence mechanisms in marine invertebrates. At the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, Croatia, he lectures on Biochemistry and the Biological effects of xenobiotics. He is coauthor and author of numerous scientific articles and specialist book chapters.
