Tzi-Dar Chiueh

Tzi-Dar Chiueh received his BS and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from National Taiwan University and California Institute of Technology in 1983 and 1989, respectively. He is now a Professor of Dept. of Electrical Engineering and Graduate Institute of Electronics Engineering at National Taiwan University. Prof. Chiueh has received the Acer Longtern Award 11 times and the Golden Silicon Award in 2002, 2005, and 2007. His teaching efforts were recognized five times by the Teaching Excellence Award from NTU. Prof. Chiueh was the recipient of the Outstanding Research Award from National Science Council, Taiwan in 2004-2006. In 2005, he received the Outstanding Electrical Engineering Professor from the Chinese Institute of Electrical Engineers (Taiwan), and was awarded the Himax Chair Professorship at NTU in 2006. His research interests include algorithm, architecture, and integrated circuits for baseband communication systems. He is the co-author of a book entitled OFDM Baseband Receiver Design for Wireless Communications, published by John Wiley and Sons, Ltd. in 2007.
