Khalil Helou received a Ph.D. degree in genetics from University of Gothenburg, Gothenburg, Sweden, in 2000. In 2001, he received a Postdoc from the Department of Cell and Molecular Biology-Genetics, Göteborg, Sweden, and a Postdoc at the Genetics Branch-Center for Cancer Research National Cancer Institute/NIH, 50 South Drive, Bethesda, Md, USA, in 2002. In 2005, he served as an Associate Professor in experimental oncology at the University of Gothenburg. From 1995 to 2000, he served as a Ph.D. student/Research Assistant, including teaching (totally 1500 hours). The teaching work included planning, preparing, and teaching basic (A or B-level; basic genetics and molecular genetics) and advanced (C or D-level; gene technology, advanced genetics, and human genetics) laboratory courses. Since 2003, Helou has been serving as a Fulltime Researcher at the Department of Oncology, University of Gothenburg. He serves as an Editorial Board Member at the BMC Cancer, the Open Gene Therapy Journal, the Journal of Cancer Therapeutics and Research, the Oncocytology journal, and the Conference Papers in Molecular Biology.
