Patricia M. Vuguin
Patricia M. Vuguin works as an Associate Professor of pediatrics and is a Member of the Diabetes Research and Training Center at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Vuguin is a Clinician Scientist with a specialty in pediatric endocrinology who has a strong background on fetal programming of adult disease. In addition, she had training under the supervision of Dr. Charron in biochemistry and molecular and developmental biology during her KO8 award. She brings expertise in both fetal and neonatal development and whole body insulin resistance in rodents and humans. Furthermore, Dr. Vuguin has graduated from the AECOM Masters in Clinical Research program and the Mouse Genetics and Developmental Biology Laboratory and Lecture course. As a Pediatric Endocrinologist by training, Dr. Vuguin is currently conducting basic research that asks relevant questions in the area of fetal programming of adult disease and how that related to her patient population.
