Hassen Bacha graduated in natural sciences from the University of Strasbourg, Strasbourg, France, and obtained his Ph.D. degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of Strasbourg. He currently works as a Professor of biochemistry, molecular biology, and molecular toxicology at the University of Monastir, Monastir, Tunisia, is the Head of the Laboratory for Research on Biologically Compatible Compounds (LRSBC), and serves as the President of the Tunisian Association of Toxicology (ATT). His key research interests include the foundation of the Laboratory for Research on Biologically Compatible Compounds (LRSBC) including 33 searchers on cellular and molecular toxicology, environmental toxics, food contaminants, and related pathologies; molecular and mechanistic studies of toxic effects; mycotoxins in human and animals food chain, prevalence, monitoring, and prevention approaches. Bacha published almost 80 peer-reviewed papers in the past 18 years on the topics of biochemistry, molecular biology and toxicology, and his work involves the direction of 18 theses and 33 masters.
