Mark R. Harrigan
Mark R. Harrigan serves as a Cerebrovascular and Neurointerventional Neurosurgeon at the University of Alabama, Birmingham (UAB). He went to medical school at the University of Washington, completed his residency in neurosurgery at the University of Michigan, and his Neurointerventional Fellowship at the University of Buffalo in New York. He specializes in open and endovascular cerebrovascular surgery. His research is mainly concerned with clinical trials, and he serves as the Principal Investigator or Coinvestigator of five clinical trials at UAB, including SAMMPRIS, CREST, ARUBA, START, and MISTIE. In addition, he is the coauthor, with Dr. John Deveikis, of the Handbook: Cerebrovascular Disease and Neurointerventional Technique, which is published by Springer.
