Dr. Nandita Ganguly is placed as an Associate Professor with the Physics Department of St. Xavier’s College, Ahmedabad in India. An alumna of Mount Carmel Convent and St. Xavier’s Loyola Hall Ahmedabad, she graduated with distinction from St. Xavier’s College, Ahmedabad, and then went on to do her Masters and M.Phil with distinction in Physics from Gujarat University. She has been awarded the prestigious National Merit Scholarship by the government of India and research fellowship by Indian Academy of Sciences, Bangalore. A Doctorate in the field of Atmospheric Science with focus on Atmospheric Ozone, she has delivered invited talks in the field of atmospheric science, reviewed papers for a number of national and international journals, reviewed project proposals for the Ministry of Earth Sciences and to her credit has around 30 publications in reputed International Journals. Dr. Ganguly is a fellow of the Society of Earth Scientists and a life member of the Indian Geophysical Union. She is one of the Principle Investigators in the CAWSES - India project, sponsored by Indian Space Research Organization. Her research interests include study of ozone, aerosols, trace gasses, climate change and land – ocean – atmosphere interaction.
