Steven N. Francoeur
Steven N. Francoeur received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, Ala, USA in 2001. He was a Postdoctoral Scientist at the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research in New Zealand and is currently employed as an Associate Professor of biology at Eastern Michigan University, Ypsilanti, Mich, USA. His main research interest is the ecology of aquatic surface-associated microbial assemblages, that is, periphyton ecology. He serves as an Associate Editor of the Journal of the North American Benthological Society and is the Joint Task Group Chair for Section 10300 (Periphyton) of Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater.
