Gerald Monard

Gerald Monard was born in Valenciennes, France, in 1971. He received his M.S. degree from the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon in 1994 and his Ph.D. degree in 1998 from the Université Henri PoincarĂ©-Nancy I, France, under the supervision of Jean-Louis Rivail. He was a postdoctoral fellow with Kenneth M. Merz, Jr. at the Pennsylvania State University, Pa, USA. Currently, he is a Full Professor at the University of Lorraine. His current research interest lies in the development and use of theoretical chemistry tools to aid in our understanding of the reactivity of enzymes and other large bioorganic complexes.
