Xianbin Yu received an M.S. degree from Tianjin University, Tianjin, China in 2002 and a Ph.D. degree from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, in 2005. From October 2005 to October 2007, he worked as a Postdoc Researcher at Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. Since November 2007, he has been employed as a Postdoc Research Fellow at DTU Fotonik, Technical University of Denmark, Lyngby, Copenhagen, Denmark. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor at DTU Fotonik. He held a Marie Curie International Incoming Fellowship within the 7th European Community Framework Program in 2007. His research interests are in the areas of microwave photonics, optical fiber communications, ultrafast photonic wireless signal processing, high frequency and ultrahigh frequency communications, wireless-over-fiber, and short-range access technologies. He has coauthored 2 book chapters and 90+ peer-reviewed international journals and conference papers in the area of optical communications.
