Qishen Pang received his Ph.D. degree from Oregon State University (advisor: John Hays, PhD). After completing his postdoctoral training at Oregon Health & Science University with Grover Bagby, MD, Dr. Pang joined Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center as an Assistant Professor in 2003. Currently, he is an Associate Professor of pediatrics. His research focuses on the mechanistic link between stress signaling and hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) renewal and engraftment defects in children with the bone marrow failure syndromes and the development of nonmyeloablative conditioning regimens for stem cell and gene therapies for these genetic instability disorders.
