Dhammika Jayalath received the B.S. degree in electronics and telecommunications engineering from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, and the M.Eng. degree in telecommunications from the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. He received the Ph.D. degree in wireless communications from Monash University, Australia in 2002. He was a Fellow at the Australian National University and a Senior Researcher at the National CT Australia. His research interests fall in the general areas of communications and signal processing and he has published significantly in these areas. His current research interests include cooperative communications, cognitive radios, statistical signal processing, and multiuser communications. He is currently serving as the Chair of the Signal Processing and Communications Chapter of the IEEE Queensland Section. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE.
