Chungxiang Li
Shanghai University, China
Chungxiang Li has got the Ph.D. degree. He was born in 1964 and received his doctor degree in structural engineering from the Tongji University in Shanghai, China in 1999. He possesses seven years of experience in building project development and management in six corporations. He fulfilled his postdoctoral research requirements on structural control in 2000 and has been on the faculty of Shanghai Jiaotong University from 2000 to 2004 and of Shanghai University since 2005.
Helping supertall buildings withstand, the effects of earthquakes and wind loading are a passion of Li, a Doctoral Director at the Department of Civil Engineering at the Shanghai University. Li's major research interests include structural control, structural vibration, wind and earthquake-resistant structures, computational stochastic mechanics, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and underground railway traffic-induced vibrations and control. Moreover, he has published 215 research papers in international and national journals and proceedings, and he services on the editorial boards of more than 10 national and international technical journals. Li and his research team, sponsored by the National Natural Science Funds, have completed more than thirty research and engineering projects. Now, Li and his research team are conducting a very important engineering project entitled Key Technologies of Structural Design of Very Large-Scale Complex Shape Buildings.
