Antonio Amoroso

Born in Rome on 19 January 1955, Prof. Antonio Amoroso graduated in Medicine in Turin in 1979 and specializing in Immunohematology in Ferrara in 1983. He has the requisite qualifications as Head of Immunohematology in 1990, while in 1988 he became Assistant in the Service of Transplant Immunology Molinette Hospital in Turin, at the Institute of Medical Genetics, University of Turin, where he became Associate Professor in 1992. In 1996 he moved to Trieste to head the Department of Medical Genetics at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Trieste. From 1996 to 2004 he was Director of the Department of Medical Genetics, Institute for Childhood IRCCS Burlo Garofolo, and from 2000 to 2004 Director of the Department of Reproductive Sciences and Development - University of Trieste and the School of Specialization in medical Genetics. Since 1999 he is Full Professor of Medical Genetics, University of Trieste and the first since 2004 at one of Turin. Since 2004 he is Director of the Department of Transplantation Immunology Molinette Hospital in Turin since 2005 and is the Regional Transplant Coordinator of the Piedmont Region. In addition to a busy teaching courses in the Faculty of Medicine, has authored about 200 publications in scientific journals with extensor Impact Factor
