Gregory Levitin

Gregory Levitin received his B.S. degree in mathematics from Kharkov State University, Ukraine, in 1986, and M.S. degree in electrical engineering (Diploma with honors) from Kharkov State Polytechnic University, Ukraine, in 1982. Professor Levitin is presently a senior expert at the Reliability Department of the Israel Electric Corporation and a Distinguished Visiting Professor at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. His current interests are in operations research and artificial intelligence applications in defense, reliability, and power systems. In this field, Levitin has published more than 140 papers and four books. He is Senior Member of the IEEE and the Chair of the ESRA Technical Committee on System Reliability. He is an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Reliability, an Area Coordinator of the International Journal of Performability Engineering, and a Member of the Editorial Board of Reliability Engineering & System Safety and Reliability and Quality Performance.
