Stefania Rizzo was born in Catania, Italy, in 1977. She received the M.D. degree (summa cum laude) in Catania, and she then accomplished her Residency Program in radiology (summa cum laude) at the University of Milan, Italy. She also achieved a one-year Research Fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, Mass, USA. In 2004, she was awarded the Executive Council Residents in Radiology Award from the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS); she also received a Cum Laude at the RSNA 2004 Educational Exhibit and a Certificate of Merit at the RSNA 2004 Educational Exhibit. Since 2005, Dr. Rizzo has worked as a Full-Time Radiologist at the European Institute of Radiology, Milan, where she has been continuing her research studies. She is mainly interested in gynecological oncology radiology, chest radiology, and gastrointestinal radiology. She is currently an Invited Reviewer for many international journals (e.g., AJR; ER; NCPU; Lancet Oncology; IJGC). She has authored and coauthored more than 30 full papers in the fields of interest.
