Saleh M. Al-Salamah received his B.S. degree from Punjab University, Lahore, Pakistan, in June, 1979. He is a Professor, a General Consultant, and a Laparoscopic Surgeon at the College of Medicine King Saud University and King Khalid University Hospital (University Unit, Riyadh Medical Complex), King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He was an Assistant Professor, a General Consultant, and a Laparoscopic Surgeon at the College of Medicine and King Khalid University Hospital, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from 2000 to 2004. He was the Chairman and Organizer of Highlight Trauma Course in Riyadh Medical Complex for the Ministry Of Health for residents who are going for pilgrim for the last 3 years. Moreover, he is a Member of the Planning Committee in the Department of Surgery, College of Medicine, King Saud University, and a Member of the Committee for Training and Scholarship in Ministry of Health. In addition, he is a Member of the Editorial Board of JK Practitioner Journal, Kashmir, India, and a Reviewer in the Saudi Journal of Gastroenterology, the Saudi Medical Journal, and the Annals of Saudi Medicine Journal, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He was included in Marquis Who's Who of the World for the year 2009 based on all the achievements in surgery and medical teaching and research. His publications include “Management of gastrointestinal smooth muscle tumors: seven years experience of teaching hospital in Saudi Arabia,” “Outcome of laparoscopic cholecystectomy in acute biliary pancreatitis,” and “Spectrum of general surgical problems in the developmentally disable adults.”
