Nicola Magnavita
0000-0002-0988-7344Nicola Magnavita received his M.D. degree from the Catholic University of Sacred Heart, Rome, Italy in November 1977. He serves as a Confirmed Researcher at the Institute of Occupational Medicine of the Catholic University since 1977. His research interest includes the management of workers risky for others (it is the national coordinator of the study group on the subject) and risk management for health and safety (he developed the ASIA model for risk management in environments work). The medical activities were conducted on two distinct levels: clinical activities at the Department of Occupational Medicine pertaining to the pool of medicine and preventive health surveillance activities in workplaces. Prof. Nicola Magnavita has published over 530 papers, of which over 100 in journals with impact factor. He has published seven books on topics of occupational medicine and has collaborated in the writing of several other monographs and treatises. He currently cooperates with Italian foreign study centers (Finland, UK, Poland, Holland, USA, and Canada). He directed as a scientific manager or cooperated in 22 research projects funded by various agencies including the National Research Council, the Ministry of Labour, the Ministry of University and Scientific Research, and the Ministry of Health.
