Ut-Va Koc received the Ph.D. degree from
the University of Maryland, College Park,
and the B.S. degree from National Chiao
Tung University. He is currently a Distinguished Member
of Technical Staff (DMTS)
at High Speed Electronics Research, Bell
Labs, Lucent Technologies, Murray Hill,
New Jersey. He has published one book, a
number of peer-reviewed papers, and book
chapters on signal processing in communications
and multimedia, in addition to 5 patents granted or in submission.
He has been active in serving as a reviewer for various
journals and conferences, Editor for EURASIP Journal on Applied
Signal Processing (JASP), Guest Editor for a special issue in JASP,
and Guest Cochair in various international conferences. His current
research interests include electronic and optical signal processing
for optical/electronic wireline/wireless communication, analog/mixed
signal processing for high-speed data conversion, and
multimedia signal processing.
