Tomotsugu Koyama

Tomotsugu Koyama received his Ph.D. degree in 2001 at Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan. After postdoctoral fellowships at Japan Society for Promotion of Science (2001-2002), National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) in Japan (2002), and Core Research for Evolutional Science and Technology in Japan (2002–2006), he accepted appointments of a Researcher at AIST (2006–2009) and an Assistant Professor at Kyoto University (2009–2011). He is currently a Researcher at Suntory Foundation for Life Sciences in Japan. He got awards for Technical Advance (2010) and Young Scientists (2012) from Japanese Society for Plant Cell and Molecular Biology. His research focuses on mechanisms underlying leaf and shoot meristem development, senescence, and hormone responses.
