Flavio Manenti

Flavio Manenti is assistant professor of chemical engineering at Politecnico di Milano and Alexander von Humboldt professor of chemical plants and operations at Technical University of Berlin. He teaches chemical process dynamics and control, along with chemical plants courses for M.Sc. students. He has more than 10 years of experience in the field of modeling, simulation, control and optimization of industrial processes, with more than 100 scientific papers indexed by Scopus, in addition to his work on Wiley's 5 book series for chemical engineers. He has received international awards such as the Alexander von Humboldt as senior scientist in Berlin, Germany, the Excellence in Simulation in Los Angeles, USA, the Zdenek Burianec Memorial in Prague, Czech Rep., along with best lecture prize at international conferences. He has led more than 30 industrial projects for research and development activities and he is owner of different priority patents.
