David R. Hill

David R. C. Hill is currently the Vice President of Blaise Pascal University, in charge of ICT since July 2008. He served as a Director of the Auvergne Region Computing Center (CRRI) from 2008 to 2010; he was also Deputy Director of ISIMA Computer Science & Modeling Institute (French Grande Ecole d’Ingénieur) between 2005 and 2007. Hill managed two departments at ISIMA between 1995 and 2005. Hill joined ISIMA in 1993 serving as an Associate Professor. He received his French qualification as Research Director in 2000 and his Ph.D. degree in 1993 (in object-oriented software engineering and simulation) from Blaise Pascal University. He also holds a French Diplome d'Ingenieur, a DEA (Diplome d'Etude Avancee), which he received in 1990, and a French Maitrise which he received 1989. Since 1990, Hill has served as a Chairman, a Program Chairman, and a General Chair at various international conferences. He is an Associate Editor and Reviewer for various journals in simulation, software engineering, ecological and environmental modeling, and bioinformatics.
