Lingjie Meng works as a Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Xi'an, China. He also served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Polymer Materials and Science (from January 2011 to January 2013) and a Lecturer in the Department of Polymer materials and Science (from October 2005 to December 2012), Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China. Meng obtained a Ph.D. degree in electronic science and technology in 2005, an M.S. degree in polymer materials in 2001, and a B.A. degree in polymer materials in 1999, all from Xi'an Jiaotong University. His research interests include preparation of nanomaterials and their applications in biology, including functionalization of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) for drug delivery and scaffolds, magnetic nanomaterials for MRI contrast, and noble metal nanostructures for CT contrast and photothermal therapy.
