Francesco Lufrano is currently a Senior Scientist at CNR-ITAE of Messina, Italy. He is in the permanent staff of the Institute CNR-ITAE since 2001. His current research interest covers the research field of "energy storage and conversion" for the development of supercapacitors, batteries and fuel cells. His experiences covers: electrochemistry, interfaces, nano-carbons, metal oxides and polymer electrolytes. Since January 2011, the Dr. Lufrano is coordinator/expert for the CNR in EERA (European Energy Research Alliance) Joint Program "Energy Storage" . Moreover, since 2009 he is the responsible of a CNR research module - ET.P03.008.003 (Technologies for Electrochemical Energy Storage). He is (co)author of 42 publications in peer-reviewed journals and 16 papers in international conference proceedings. Moreover, he is also the (co)-author of 37 Italian reports for national projects and/or for industries and 50 communications at conferences. In his career has received twice (2010 and 2011) the prize "H2 Roma Energy & Mobility Research Award".
