Gonghui Wang has been serving as an Assistant Professor at the Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan, since 2003. He obtained D.S. degree (earth and planetary science) from the aforementioned University (2000), M. S. degree (solid mechanics) Lanzhou University, Lanzhou, China (1991), and B. Eng. degree (Mechanics) from the same University (1988). His Research fields include mechanism of rapid long runout landslides, liquefaction phenomena in landslides, field monitoring of landslides, modeling of landslides, creep behavior of clayey soil, and landslide dams.
