George W. Huntley
George W. Huntley received his Ph.D. degree in neuroscience from the University of California, Irvine, Calif, USA, in 1990. His thesis work, with Edward G. Jones, examined development and organization of monkey motor and other cortical areas. He did postdoctoral work with Dr. John H. Morrison examining the synaptic distribution of dopamine and glutamate receptor subunits in monkey neocortex. Huntley is currently an Associate Professor of neuroscience at Mount Sinai in New York. His principal research interests are in structural and functional synaptic plasticity in normal and injured brains.
