Pavel Diko

Pavel Diko was born in Surovce, Slovakia, 1948. He received the Material Science degree (summa cum laude) and the Ph.D. degree from Technical University Kosice, Slovakia in 1973 and 1978. Since 1978, Diko has been with the Institute of Experimental Physics, Slovak Academy of Sciences, Kosice, Slovakia. He was a Visiting Scientist at Argonne National Laboratory, ISTEC Tokyo, CNRS Grenoble, ATI Vienna, and IFW Dresden. Since 2000, he has been a Scientific Professor. He is mainly interested in material physics of nanostructured materials (superconducting, magnetic, etc.). In 1980 and 1985, he received the Price of Slovak Academy of Sciences; in 1996 Director of ISTEC Tokyo '96 Award; in 1999 Silver Medal of Aurel Stodola for Achievements in Chemistry and Physics; in 2005 PASREG Award of Excellence. He is a Member of International Advisory Committee PASREG 2010.
