Wenquan Niu is Associate Professor at State Key Laboratory of Medical Genomics, Rui-Jin Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, Shanghai 200025, China. Niu received the Ph.D. degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from Institute of Basic Medical Sciences, Peking Union Medical College, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Beijing, China, in 2003–2008. Niu also obtained the B.S. degree in mathematics and applied mathematics from Department of Mathematics, Beijing Normal University, Beijing, China, in 1999–2003. Niu's research interests include population-based and family-based genetic association studies, human genetics and medical genomics of common complex diseases, biostatistics and genetic epidemiology, and evidence-based medicine: meta-analysis.
