Dr. Luis A. GIL-ALANA completed his Ph.D. in Econometrics at the London School of Economics, LSE, UK, in 1997. In 1998 we moved to the European University Institute, EUI, Florencia, Italy, with a Jean Monet Research Fellowship. The following year we worked as Research Officer at the London Business School,LBS, London, UK. From 2000 to 2002 He was Visiting Professor at the Humboldt Universit├Ąt zu Berlin, HU, Berlin, Germany, and in 2002 he incorporated to the University of Navara in Pamplona, Spain. He is Associate Professor and Director of the Department of Quantitative Methods in the Faculty of Economics at the University of Navarra. He has published numerous articles in several areas like Econometrics and Statistics (Journal of Econometrics, Journal of Applied Econometrics, Journal of Time Series Analysis), Macroeconomics (Macroeconomic Dynamics, Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics), Finance (Journal of Banking and Finance, Review of Financial Economics) but also in Climatological and Meteorological journals like Journal of Climate, International Journal of Climatology, Meteorological Applications, etc.
