Chia Chen Chu

Chia-Chi Chu received the BS and MS degrees in electrical engineering from National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, U.S.A., in 1996. From 1995 to 1996, he has been a member of the technical staff at Avant! Corporation, Fremont, CA, USA. From 1996 to 2006, he was with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Chang Gung University, Tao-Yuan, Taiwan. Since 2006, he has been an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at National Tsing Hua University, Hsin-Chu, Taiwan. He was a visiting scholar at the University of California at Berkeley in 1999. His current research interests include power system stability, FACTS, Microgrid control, and smart grid applications. Dr. Chu was the recipient of the Best Author Award of IEEE 1997 Control of Oscillations and Chaos Conference (COC’97) and 8th international conference on Power Electronics and Drive Systems (PEDS’2009).
